updateWe are receiving happy reports from Australia, New Zealand, Tonga and the South Pole of folks gathering to celebrate Christmas Eve at this hour. We have our own Christmas Eve party here at the North Pole to prepare for as well.

Eventually the work of Operation Merry Christmas will stop for many of us after Santa launches and the workshop is closed for the year. We don’t know what hour that will be but once everything is complete things really start to rock at the North Pole Christmas Eve Party. We all gather in the big room at the Claus residence where the boys from the Tracking Department have set up a large screen so we can watch Santa on the sleigh cam. To my knowledge, we are the only people in the world who have that honor.

We will sing, dance, play games and eat all the great food Mrs. Claus prepares as we watch Santa fly around the world. One of the most popular activities of the night is the Sugar Cookie Pool. That is where elves bet sugar cookies to see who can guess the exact time that Santa will return to the North Pole. We stay up all day and all night and all day again as Santa flies around the world. We are really tired by the time he gets back!
