Tracking Department Begins Operations
Merry Christmas!
Moments ago the coordinated countdown clocks at the North Pole lit up with red lights – that means the Tracking Department is now in business.
The Tracking Department has a big job. Every year they plot out Santa’s flight plan, look for dangers out there in the weather and other obstacles, and place spotter elves all over the world all in an effort to get Santa safely around the world and back to the North Pole on Christmas morning.
The Tracking Department is a giant data center – there are large television screens, computer monitors, telephone call stations, giant maps, and communication schedules will all corners of the globe.
Much of our news over the course of this week will come from the Tracking Center.
