Santa Checks In! Posted by Elf Ernest on Wednesday, 17th June 2009 at 2:08PM
Merry Greetings from the North Pole!
Santa called this morning and asked if he had any mail. Boy, does he! Many of you out there seem to be more interested in Santa now than ever. In fact, the big question we seem to get a lot at this time of the year is where is Santa and what is he doing?
Santa received a new laptop as an early Father's Day present from Mrs. Claus. (Bet you didn't know that Santa was a Dad, did you? How would you like to be Santa's kid? What would you get him for Father's Day?) Any way, Santa was just setting up his new email and insisted on sending in his own reply:
Merry Christmas, everyone!
What a lovely summer Mrs. Claus and I are enjoying! We are presently enjoying some beautiful scenery in the Canadian Rockies, where I have had the pleasure of meeting some of the young reindeer babies born this year.
Oh, they grow up so fast. Like kids everywhere, they were really excited to see me. But there are just so doggone cute when they are little. I just love them to pieces.
Elf Victor is working with Donner is planning for the training of these young reindeer. They can't fly yet, of course, so Donner trains them to run, jump and build their young muscles. It is a very special assignment and it thrills me to have visited with them this summer.
We have many plans for this Christmas. I have something very special I want to tell you about very soon. So please stay in touch here over the next few weeks and visit often. It's all about my sleigh -- and how you can help with it.
In the meantime, please be nice to each other, always obey your Mother, and eat your vegetables (and your cookies, too).
