The lights of Great Britain are burning brightly at this hour as many folks there have waited up to greet Santa Claus — or Father Christmas, as they like to call him.

“I tried getting a picture with Santa in my house,” writes Reginald Christiansen of Preston. “But Santa was here and gone so fast I never saw him. One moment I heard a thud on the roof and I raised my camera to my eye and the next thing I know the cookies are gone and the there are presents under the tree. How does Santa do that?”

Reginald brings up a good point. Santa doesn’t tend to linger. He’s got a lot of stops still to make and it is best that you don’t try to slow him down. When he is in this mode you’ll never stop him. The best thing to do is to go to bed and allow the visions of sugar plums to do their thing.
