Staying Up for Santa

The North Pole Post Office just shared with me some mail coming from some children out there who plan to stay up real late so that they can greet Santa.

One word of advice kids: don’t.

Santa wants you in bed because it allows him to work faster. If he sees you in your home he will feel obligated to chat for a while. And it’s not that he doesn’t want to talk to you. He just doesn’t have the time. He has to get around the world in one whole night! He doesn’t have time to visit.

So please, don’t plan to stay up late on Christmas Eve unless you are doing something with your family that requires it.
