It is a quiet Sunday at the North Pole, the final day off for elves before Christmas. Today is the day of the traditional Christmas Devotional at the North Pole Chapel.

Christmas Devotional

The Christmas Devotional is always a special event. Santa usually speaks and he brings a message of peace, hope and love – every year. It’s like a little Christmas present just from Santa’s heart to everyone here at the North Pole.

Santa has a way of making everyone feel good. He knows there is a lot of work to be done this week. And he knows that some elves may be feeling anxious about it all. But Santa always gives a message that makes everyone feel like the work they are doing is important and fun. No matter how busy and no matter how many deadlines we have to meet Santa always leaves us feeling like we can do it and do it well.

We sing a these devotionals, too. All the great songs of Christmas belong in the meetings we hold on this Sunday before Christmas every year. Hark the Herald Angels Sing, O Come All Ye Faithful and The First Noel are all favorites of Santa and we sing them every year.

Today is also a personal day for a lot of people. For example, Elf Crash Murphy called in from wrapping presents to file his North Pole Radio News report for today. You can hear that report in the player below.

It’s going to be an exciting week. One filled with lots of news! I hope you can join us.
