Christmas in July is the 2nd biggest news month of the year. In the North Pole Radio News report for today you can hear Elf Frank Myrrh discuss that with professor of North Pole History, Elf Dr. Grant Smedley.

Dr. Smedley said Christmas in July is a big news month because it is the time of year when things really accelerate at the North Pole. Elves should be back from vacation by that point and all major departments at the North Pole are in full production and remain that way until Santa launches.

It is also a big time of year to focus on Santa’s sleigh, the reindeer, and the efforts to track Santa around the world. In particular, Elf Dr. Smedley says the announcement of regional tracking centers has become big news each July in just the past few years.

Those centers used to be an exclusive focus of North Pole Flight Command. But these days that news in each sector is important to tracker elves everywhere. As things change, new traditions of Christmas are born.

Please note that Elf Dr. Grant Smedley will be scheduled in North Pole Chat later this month around Leon Day to share more about North Pole History.

Thank you Elf Harold! I didn’t know about both Christmas in July and Leon Day before, so I’m very interested. Are the elves and others similar in their way of spending? I am very happy to learn about it from Dr. Smedley this month, and I look forward to celebrating with all of you this year!
