He did it! The Might Mick has pulled off the impossible at the Reindeer Games. This is a very rare event.

The Mighty Mick came back from a fourth place finish to win his last two events to take the crown of Top Reindeer at the Reindeer Games. He had to defeat Donner, Blitzen, Dasher and Comet – making the victory even that much more rare.

The Mighty Mick was shy and somewhat surprised at the awards ceremony. Even his trainer, Elf Big Sled Ted, had little to say and could only smile at all the attention.

So what happens now?

The Mighty Mick and his coach will get a one-on-one meeting with Santa very soon. Among the things they will discuss will be a Christmas Eve assignment. For The Mighty Mick, this will be a new experience. He’s only two years old and he has never flown a mission for Santa on Christmas Eve before. It’s considered not only a very high honor but one that could make the career for a reindeer.

But winning the Reindeer Games is no small accomplishment. We hope to learn more about The Might Mick’s story so we can understand better how he did it. In the meantime, however, we will wait as he will to learn of his Christmas Eve assignment.

By the way, many want to know how the other reindeer reacted to this victory. The truth is that The Mighty Mick had every one cheering loudly – including those reindeer he defeated. As that last race came to a close everyone was standing, cheering and smiling. History in the making has a way of making everyone happy.

More on this story to come. Details are in the North Pole Radio News Report in the player above.

Thank you, Elves Harold, Frank and Crash! Congratulations Mighty Mick and Elf Big Ted!! New history! I want to tell other reindeer they were great jobs too. The victory of the god chose him this year. I know all reindeer trained harder to win the games too. I think Mighty Mick is young, so he played braver without fear, and he enjoyed his training and the games more than others. I’m touched to hear that he cheered loudly for other reindeer. It made me smile too. I think all reindeer teams will be a great job this year. I wonder how was the one-on-one meeting with Santa going. Of course, I’m looking forward to the update too! ^^
