Happy Thanksgiving from the North Pole! It’s a day off for Santa’s Workshop, for North Pole Flight Command, for the Wrapping Department, for the North Pole Post Office and for all operational units of Santa’s enterprise at the North Pole.

Elf Parade

There are many events planned as the North Pole celebrates Thanksgiving and the start of Operation Merry Christmas:

1. The Annual Thanksgiving Day Elf Parade kicks off this morning as elves of all kinds take to Main Street of North Pole Village for the annual parade of elves in costumes on their trikes, bikes, long boards, scooters, wagons and roller skates. The North Pole High School Marching Band will be here, as will all the reindeer currently at the North Pole.

2. The Turkey Bowl, a football game held at Village Park, will feature elves in a spirited competition of touch football. The teams this year are named the Snowflakes and the Flaming Nog Heads. The Ladies Auxiliary has promised not to launch snowballs during game play this year.

3. The Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon, held at the North Pole Community Center, will feature roast turkey, fresh cranberry, pumpkin pies, and pecan sweet potatoes. Mrs. Claus reminds all elves that the food fight is a feature of the Halloween party and will not be tolerated at Thanksgiving.

4. The Christmas Light Walk with Santa begins right after the luncheon. All homes and buildings participating in the annual lighting contest are featured on an event map, published by the North Pole Gazette.

Thank you, Elf Harold! I’m so happy to hear what they are doing now! The high school marching band is fantastic to play in the snowy. I’m sorry to Elf Crash for what’s happened. I hope everything is okay now. I understand all reindeer wanted to celebrate Rudolph in the parade. They’re so cute! I wanted to see it. Wow, Elf Frank is so lucky to see the parade from his house! I wish to help Mrs. Claus and walkabout with Santa and the elves. Do you have any pictures we can see? XD
