1 Week Until Christmas
1 week to go! Yay! We made it!
I call this week “hands-on” this week. Mrs. Claus, for example, is doing stuff. Meetings and phone calls are pretty much over. She’s got herself up to her elbows in flour and giggles.
Yes, she’s making cookies. She’s making eggnog. She’s making fudge. She’s making fun for everyone.
After a full year of such hard work it is such a joy to see Mrs. Claus right now.
Elves everywhere are super busy. Some are still working very hard, others are doing things like Mrs. Claus is. But everyone is smiling.
Yes, I know there are some weird things going on (looking at you, tracker elves).
But nobody here is sad about it. In fact, people are just giddy with anticipation.
They cannot wait to see Santa. They cannot wait to see the sleigh. They cannot wait to see the reindeer. They cannot wait to hang their stockings. They cannot wait to see Santa take off.
Oh, a bit of news for you. I got an early Christmas present when my reindeer, Trixie, came home early. I wasn’t expecting to see her until Christmas Day. But when Santa ended the test flights she was sent home with all the other reindeer assigned to the test flights. What a treat!
We are still awaiting word of what Trixie’s assignment will be for December 23rd and 24th. She’s hoping to be named to at least the back-up team of Santa’s reindeer. But really, like everyone else here at the North Pole, she will just be happy to serve Santa. In the meantime, I get a few days with her this week and that’s an unexpected surprise. I’m going to spoil her – she is one hard-working reindeer!
These are what I call the delicious days. Every minute of every day for the next week will just be delicious with fun activity.
What about you, my friends?
I pray your week will be as fun as our’s here at the North Pole. Please use the comments below to tell us what you’re doing.

I am actually going back to school this week cause I’ve been sick forever so yeah still more fun but I’ll make the most of it
Hello, Elf Trixie! I’m glad to hear that happy surprise from Santa! Thank you, Trixie, for her great test flights. And Thank you, Elf Trixie, for working with Mrs. Claus this year! Have a relaxing and sweet time with each other. I wish I could help Mrs. Claus there someday. My country doesn’t have a Christmas holiday, so I go to work on weekdays. I’ll go to a few elementary schools for help with their Christmas activities this week. I always smile at each other when I see the students and the teachers. They can’t wait for Santa to come… Read more »
