Santa wants you to know that he does not keep a list of naughty or nice children. He also does not watch you when you’re sleeping and he never spies on you. That is stuff that comes from a song some one wrote long ago. It’s a myth.
Nevertheless, many get concerned that maybe they have not been as good as they should or that someone else has told Santa they were naughty.
Santa would like you to feel better about yourself.
If Santa does not make a list of these things then YOU can decide which list to put yourself on – and it will go to the North Pole Registry of Naughty and Nice.
Now, that’s not a list – it’s a file. A record-keeping place.
You see, Santa gets all kinds of letters, notes, cards, drawings and things from people. Most of the time it is something wonderful – notes of gratitude, expressions of love and hope, words of encouragement and good cheer. But sometimes it’s not something great. Sometimes people write mean things. The North Pole Registry of Naughty or Nice stores them all.

If you have been doing okay and playing well with others and trying to be kind and helpful – put yourself on that nice list. If you have maybe stumbled a little here and there and think you might be able to do better, get it off your chest and clear the deck.
