Every Child Should Hang a Stocking
I wrote a short time ago to Elf Gloria, Santa’s Commissioner of Christmas Traditions here at the North Pole. She is busy getting the sleigh bells ready for Santa’s sleigh, a very important job that we’ll talk about in a little while.
But for right now she’s very concerned that some children out there in the world do not understand how important it is for each of them to hang Christmas stockings.
Remember: Santa’s first gifts were delivered to stockings “hung by the chimney with care”. Santa always goes to the hanging stocking first when he visits a home. Why? Because many kids will put notes there for Santa and he doesn’t want to miss them.
The Christmas stocking is a symbol of belief in Santa. It is a conduit to the North Pole, to communicate with Santa and for Santa to communicate with you. Sometimes Santa puts a note in a stocking for a child.
So DON’T forget to hang your stocking!
