Halloween Party Committee Meets
With 100 days to go until Halloween, at least according to the North Pole Countdown Page, the North Pole Halloween Party Committee is getting together.
The North Pole Halloween party is a traditional favorite at the North Pole. High lighting the event is the Halloween Costume Contest. Winning that contest is considered a prestigious achievement at the North Pole.
Another tradition, one that seemingly casts a disrespectful light on the efforts of those who make elaborate costumes, is the Annual Halloween Party food fight.
“It has been a favored tradition for as long as I can remember,” said Elf Hank Beedle, famed North Pole party host. “The food fight is gonna happen. Everyone comes to that party knowing that. They all bring stuff with them to chuck in the food flight. There’s cakes, pies, pastries, rotten fruit, gallons of jello and punch – there is more food to toss there than there is to eat.”
Even Santa and Mrs. Claus have participated in the food fight, with Santa famously bringing supersoakers full of eggnog to rain down on Halloween party-goers.
Even though nobody has ever been hurt as part of the food fight Mrs. Claus has tried to take steps to tone it down in recent years.
Mrs. Claus is not on the Halloween Committee this year but she does sit on the North Pole Village town council and many expect her to weigh in again on limiting the scope of the food fight.
The Committee this year will make itself the first order of business, giving the bulk of organizing duties to just five elves. Those elves are expected to be identified by the committee this week.
Their work over the next 100 days will be to finalize party plans, make assignments based upon budget constraints, and publicize the event.
The North Pole Halloween Party is a very well attended event.
More details of what to expect for this party are expected to be forthcoming soon. We will keep you posted.
