Radio Replay Begins
A Christmas in July tradition is the rebroadcast of the Tracking Santa Around the World radio show on Kringle Radio. That program has just started and lasts for two days.
It is 50 hours of commercial-free Christmas music interrupted only by North Pole Radio News reports that were broadcast last Christmas eve.
Those news reports tells the story of the entire world tracking Santa. The reports share information from North Pole Flight Command, the news of Santa’s sleigh and, once Santa launches, news of Santa’s activities.
The North Pole News Department is extensive in their coverage, sending reporters to every sector and hearing from them often on location. They interview Santa trackers, government officials who play a part in where Santa can fly, and eyewitnesses that see Santa in their local skies or even in their homes.
Each of those radio news reports are archived right here on Santa Update and you can hear them at any time.
But to hear it as it was all broadcast live last Christmas Eve is a different experience altogether.
Listening to the rebroadcast is a big thing for elves at the North Pole because many of them are working on Christmas Eve and cannot hear the broadcast when it is live in its entirety. Many take the next two days off just to enjoy it.
The radio show is broadcast in more than 160 countries and is heard by millions of people every Christmas.
