5 Months Until Christmas

5 Months Until Christmas

There are just 5 more months until Christmas. It’s insane. Literally insane everything that is going on right now.

Countdown to Christmas with Elf Ernest

Santa’s sleigh is dominating everything at the North Pole. Last month, on the 24th of the month, I gave you a run-down of all major North Pole Departments.

I can’t do that this time. It’s all about the sleigh and every major North Pole Department is connected to the sleigh. Last month, they felt pretty good about how prepared they were for Christmas. This month? Some feel differently.

They aren’t behind. They just don’t know what this new sleigh Santa will be using this year means for what’s ahead.

Last year, we had the Crisis in Santa’s workshop. We knew it early and met it head on. And even though Santa’s workshop worked well after Santa launched from the North Pole they erased months worth of worry because everyone knew what to do to pull together to get things done.

This year nobody knows what to do.

Santa’s new sleigh is being tested but according to those who follow this stuff it’s not going well. That has these departments worried. What if Santa can’t use this new sleigh? Will he switch back to the one he used last year? And if he does, how then will things happen?

Santa met with all departments in a special meeting just to talk about how this new sleigh changes things for everyone.

I can’t tell you about it, mostly because I wasn’t there for a lot of it. I’m a news guy, my job is to just report what’s happening. It doesn’t mean I understand all the stuff that a department head has to worry about.

Take, for example, Elf Victor in the Reindeer Operations Department. He’s a very experienced elf. For generations he has help Santa through his reindeer to deliver every Christmas. But even he is uncertain what the new sleigh means for the reindeer who are going to help Santa once again.

So….that means we have elves really working hard. In July. When we normally celebrate Christmas in July.

We celebrate Christmas in July because normally there’s not as much stuff to do in July. Things are pretty quiet traditionally in July. July customarily has been a time when we warm up the machine of Operation Merry Christmas. We get ready but we are not normally full speed in July.

That’s not the way anyone at the North Pole feels this July.

We’re cookin’. Santa’s workshop is still way ahead, there are reindeer everywhere (that usually doesn’t happen until September), and everyone is kind of…on edge, I guess you could say. Not in a bad way. But in an uncertain way.

And yet, when I looked at everything, I get a read good sense that…doggone it, Operation Merry Christmas is actually looking pretty good so far this year.

A lot can happen in five months. We’ve seen it before. We certainly saw it last year.

But this year? Well…so far so good.

Stay tuned.

Thank you, Elf Ernest! I agreed. This year is pretty good than last year! I think that the test pilots can get used to the new sleigh well. It takes time. Santa knows that all the elves work so hard. He also knows which sleigh is the best, so we follow and help him. I pray everything is getting better and better! Happy Christmas in July! 🦌🛷🎅🗺🌟

Thanks Elf Ernest for this report. It sure does sounds a little crazy and stressful with Santa’s new sleigh. I’m sure it’s going to be awesome when everything gets worked out. It is definitely a lot of changes for everyone but I think it’s gping to be a Christmas for the record books. 🎄❤️
