April Chat with Santa Re-Scheduled

Chat with Santa for April has been re-scheduled. It will now happen on Sunday, April 25, at 4pm EST.

Santa apologizes for the change. He wanted very much to be here on the 17th but he has a good reason not to be. One of his oldest and dearest reindeer, Daisy, will be having a very important surgery on Friday, April 16th.

Daisy, who is a reindeer most of you likely do not know, is very old. She has worked in the service of Santa for more than 600 years, longer than any other reindeer. For most of the past 100 years she has had the honor of serving in Santa’s personal stables. Both Santa and Mrs. Claus are very close to her.

Like the other reindeer, Daisy returned to her homeland in the Canadian Rockies several weeks ago. She was only home for a few days before she headed back to the ranch because she wasn’t feeling well.

Santa received a call late yesterday indicating that doctors at the reindeer ranch in Canada determined that Daisy needs a very serious operation and that they needed to it soon. Santa did not tell me what exactly is wrong with Daisy.

But it is serious enough that Santa has left the North Pole and is at the ranch now and meeting with the doctors there. He plans as well to spend some time with Daisy before the operation.

Santa would appreciate your prayers in her behalf.

As I receive more news about this I will, of course, update you.

Santa has asked that we move the chat back to the 25th so that he can tend to Daisy this weekend.
