Elf Enrollment Now Open
Hello and Merry Christmas! My name is Elf Buddy McFudge. I am the new director of the Visiting Elves Division of the Department of Elf Resources at the North Pole.
That’s a big title, I know. My job is to help you with your elf on the shelf.
We are pleased to announced that Elf Enrollment is now open at the Visiting Elves Division.
What does that mean? It means that not only now are you free to register, inquire after, or engage in a search for your elf but now you can enroll in Elf Services offered by the North Pole. Enrollment is open until November 22nd.
Enrollment of your elf gives you a timeline for your elf for this year.
By enrolling you will be able to request an elf if you don’t already have one, establish in advance the first day of elf activity in your home, and have access to messaging your elf, booking a personal chat with your elf, and seeing the detailed daily plans your elf will pursue in your home.
Elf Services can be accessed via a North Pole Club Plus membership.
The Visiting Elves Division is a brand new enterprise here at the North Pole. Visiting Elves have long operated independent of Santa and the North Pole. For the most part, the experience that believers have had with visiting elves has been positive. But not everyone has been happy. And some have been upset.
For years the North Pole has endured complaints and feedback over these elves they could do nothing about. Santa commissioned a survey last year that we conducted to see how people felt about their elf on the shelf. Based on that feedback, the Visiting Elves Division has been established and an order has been put in place to help improve the elf experience.
There are many steps we are taking to accomplish this.
My goal, in a series of articles we will be publishing over the course of the next several months, is to train you on how visiting elves work and what Santa’s expectations are for the time they spend in your home.
We know this will be a long-term effort. Not every visiting elf or believer will sign on to this program. But for those who do we are confident that you will have a more consistent and merrier Christmas with elves who will work under Santa’s direction.
Our first job is to find these elves and to commit them to what we call the Elf Code, which you can read about here.
The Elf Code are the principles as elves that we live by.
Each elf who visits a home should be registered by the North Pole. That registry, which we are posting online right here on Santa Update, means that your elf has been taught the Elf Code, has taken the Elf Oath, and has promised to work with the Department of Elf Resources and with Santa.
If you have had an elf in the past and want your elf to be legitimately registered with the North Pole please visit the Elf Registry to share their information.
Once you submit it, the team here in the Division of Visiting Elves will go to work. We will locate your elf, train your elf and register your elf.
What if you don’t know how to get hold of your elf?
That’s ok. Please go to our Inquiry Desk to ask about your elf. In many cases, we are able to reconnect you to your elf.
What if your elf has disappeared for several years and everything you have tried to reach them has failed?
Then you will want to use our Elf Locator. We have special elves who travel and look for lost visiting elves. Sometimes we can find them, sometimes we cannot.
These are the basics of what we in the Division of Visiting Elves do. There are many other things we do that will help you with your elf – but we’ll discuss those in a future article.
