40 weeks until Christmas! Well…actually, it’s 40 weeks until Santa launches.
I keep forgetting that’s what Operation Merry Christmas means. It is all elves think about here.
It makes sense. Our job here at the North Pole is to get Santa out there and around the world every year. That’s Christmas.
I’m so-so-so busy now. In fact, if you can believe it, elves everywhere are starting to feel like their plates are really full.
But I’m really happy about it.
You see, they gave me a real news reporter job. I’m studying journalism in school so this is not only really, really cool it also gives me some valuable experience.
I’m not sure if I’m supposed to talk about it yet or not but they announced it already at SantaTrackers.net so if they can talk about it, I can talk about it, right?
The publication is called the Santa Trackers Herald Star and it’s brand new. In fact, the first edition won’t even be out for several weeks, I’m told.
But I’m working on it already. It’s my job to sniff out stories about elves and tracking Santa, find elves to interview and then write their stories. Pretty cool, eh?
I already did my first story. And I’m working on a bunch of others.
It is actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. Well, so far. My editor, Elf Harold Star, is a peach of an elf. Really a sweet guy.
But boy does he have high standards. He made me re-write my first story 8 times!
But that just tells you this thing is gonna be good.
I’m not sure if you’ll see it here on SantaUpdate.com. That’s still up in the air. After all, SantaTrackers.net is a site about, for and by Santa Tracker elves. That’s not always information that should be shared with the world. But, so far, my stuff is safe enough and I asked if it would be shared here.
I got a big fat “maybe”. So we’ll see.
Next week, kids, our countdown goes into the 30s. Isn’t that exciting?
