Historic Early Return of Santa’s Reindeer
Santa’s reindeer are back. Thousands of reindeer have returned to the North Pole.
The return of Donner and Blitzen last month to help with the test flights of Santa’s sleigh seems to have spurred the return of many other reindeer to the North Pole.
Despite the best efforts of the Reindeer Operations Department to prepare, they are struggling at this time to keep up with all the work required of when the reindeer return.
The first order of business every year when the reindeer return are medical evaluations. Doctors at the Kringle Reindeer Center are charged with checking to see if the reindeer are healthy and what they might need to begin their annual training.
Usually that means food and having enough food for the reindeer right now is a bit of a challenge.
It’s not that the food is unavailable. It’s just tough to get all of that food to the North Pole where it is needed.
We’re talking oats, apples and carrots. The stuff that reindeer like.
None of the reindeer are going hungry. But the Reindeer Operations Department has had to borrow a few extra sleighs from the Sleigh Department to get all the food the reindeer need up to the North Pole.
