29 Weeks Until Christmas
There are 29 weeks now until Christmas. Almost 200 days until Santa launches. 151 days until the North Pole Halloween party. 177 days until the Annual Thanksgiving Day Elf Parade.
And just 86 days until the biggest reindeer wedding in history.
My gosh. I thought weddings were supposed to be fun?
Remember when I shared with you a few weeks ago about my parents wanting to come for the wedding? And what a problem that would be because the Bride is usually the lead reindeer on any sleigh between my parents house and the North Pole?
Well, the boys in the Sleigh Department really rescued me on that one. They have recruited Comet and Dasher, who have volunteered to fetch my parents from Colorado and bring them to the North Pole for the week of the wedding.
Not only that, but Elf Ed Zachary and his lovely wife have offered to host them.
Problem solved.
But now I have new problems. Specifically, wedding favors.
Do you know what wedding favors are? They are like little treats that you hand out at weddings. They need to be kinda fancy and easy to eat.
That’s not easy when you have a mix of attendees. We have reindeer, we have elves and we have people with dietary needs. And it is all over the board.
Elves will want favors with sugar. That’s easy. Cookies are the first idea everyone has and Mrs. Claus has offered to work on this one herself.
Reindeer will need either a vegetable or something with grain in it. But not bread. And the veggies would have to be freeze dried – which reindeer do not really care for – or kept on ice.
I’m not really sure what to do with that one.
Then there are the people who have special needs. Some can’t have gluten. Some are lactose intolerant. Others can’t have sugar or things with nut allergens.
I’m thinking sugar-free gum.
Haha. I’m just kidding. No I’m not thinking sugar-free gum. Haha. Well, not seriously.
I don’t know what I’m doing.
Who thought it was a good idea to put me in charge of a wedding?
