41 Weeks Until Christmas

Christmas

Greetings everyone and I’m so sorry! There are 41 weeks until Christmas and I have had a very difficult time getting out the countdown.

Countdown to Christmas

We have had extended Internet problems at the North Pole. Well, not problems. They told us a month ago they were going to “upgrade” our Internet and they warned us we might have some down time.

What they didn’t explain is that this has been a very major update, where they bury cables under water, snow and the ground.

Well, it’s winter. We’re at the North Pole. It’s snows here – a lot! And that combination of stuff with the size of the project and all combined to knock us offline for a lot longer than they thought.

So I’ve written the countdown updates…but have not been able to post them.

In other news, it’s St. Patrick’s Day at the North Pole this weekend.

Let’s talk about that. We are getting a lot of mail about leprechauns and such.

To be honest, this isn’t the biggest day at the North Pole. In fact, a lot of elves don’t care for it at all.

That is because many people out in the world confuse elves with leprechauns.

Some elves get in the spirit of it by dressing up in green and things like that. But most elves refuse to even acknowledge it.

This is all because of the Internet, you know.

People out there post pictures of elf-like leprechauns and rainbows and stuff and they just assume there is a connection. There is not.

We work for Santa. We wear red. We’re year round. And we don’t do silly things.

Now, lest I get in trouble with some of you, have fun with all this stuff, I just won’t say any more.

I have a contract not only with the Elf Union but also the International Association of Elves, and they have some sort of new merchandising deal that I’m not supposed to know about. So I’ll just leave it all right there.

Anyways. If you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, we salute you. If you don’t, we feel your pain.

Have a great week, everyone!

Thank you, Elf Trixie, for telling us about this site situation. That’s why it’s been hushed last week. I hope all is well now. Happy St. Patrick’s Day to the people celebrating. (We don’t have St. Patrick’s Day in my country, so I’m lucky; I’m not in pain, lol!)
I look forward to hearing from you about the new merchandising deal soon! I hope everyone is having a great weekend and notice the Christmas spirit, even in the little thing. XD
