43 Weeks Until Christmas
There are 43 weeks until Christmas and suddenly the North Pole is flush with excitement.
As my friend Elf Meg reported at NorthPoleFlightCommand.com today Santa has publicly addressed elves for the first time this year. His speech to Flight Command was broadcast on local television and we all watched it.
It has sent shockwaves through out all of the North Pole. Everyone is very excited.
Santa has the power to really make elves here excited. We’re winding up February and here we all are, very excited for Christmas.
It’s 300 days away.
Only Santa can create this kind of magic.
As walk around today I hear Christmas music all around. Elves are chugging eggnog. There’s a Christmas buzz about everything.
There’s going to be a lot of news coming out in the weeks ahead. This is what happens whenever Santa lights a spark like this.
Of course, none of this news will be earth shattering. It’ll be traditional. We all know what’s coming because we’ve been through it before.
But it’s exciting because it IS traditional. We love this stuff.
Oh – I got some other news. My reindeer Trixie has once again been named to the Test Flight team.
The new sleigh hasn’t even been dreamed up yet and already they are naming reindeer to be part of the test flights for it.
Like I said – not surprising news. But exciting nonetheless.
I don’t know when the assignment will start for her. But her training for that assignment starts tomorrow. They are not wasting any time.
It will be a few months, for sure. But whenever the call comes for those flights to begin, Trixie is gonna be ready.
Like everyone else, she’s excited.
Thank you, Elf Trixie! Congratulations to Trixie for being named Test Flight Team again this year! I’m curious about Mighty Mick. I always cheer him up! I wish I watched TV of Santa’s speech! I hope Elf Crash will tell us about it soon. Btw, did the eggnog revive, or is it still Mrs. Craus’s recipe? XD

“But it’s exciting because it IS traditional” is so true! We’re 41 1/2 weeks from Christmas and I already find myself thinking about it once or twice a week even with spring and a hot summer ahead. It’s such a special team. I feel that way more and more every year as I get older.
