Mrs. Claus Holds Cookie Workshops
With the start of the “ber” months at the North Pole Mrs. Claus has started a series of workshops to help elves and their families prepare for Christmas Eve.
Many elves have work responsibilities on Christmas Eve which keep them on the job while Santa flies. But many others elves are completed with their work and spend Christmas Eve at home with their families.
Elf families are like just about everyone else in the world on Christmas Eve. They enjoy family gatherings where they track Santa, eat special foods and celebrate Christmas as they hang their stockings.
Like everyone there is a lot to prepare and often things run out or go wrong on Christmas Eve. Mrs. Claus wants to help elf families prepare for Christmas Eve so that things go well.
So starting in September she volunteers as hostess of a series of workshops all designed to help elf families have a more enjoyable home Christmas.
Cookies are HUGE at the North Pole and no cookies are more admired than those of Mrs. Claus. The big Christmas Eve party held at the Claus residence features the light, fluffy and legendary cookies made by Mrs. Claus.
Sugar cookies are predominant Mrs. Claus actually makes several varieties of cookies and they are all popular, including eggnog snickerdoodles, maple cinnamon eclairs, ginger snaps, and frost macadamia chocolate crisps.
Mrs. Claus holds several workshops for each cookie variety and they are not only well attended but they are video-taped.
In a new tradition a cookie baking contest is held in conjunction with the North Pole Halloween party with judging done by a panel of experts, anchored by Santa himself.
The first of the workshops will be held this week at the North Pole Events Center.
Mrs. Claus has told me that she plans on sharing recipes for her cookies this year on SantaUpdate.com in a special feature page she hopes to launch later this year.

Excellent news! I’m looking forward to hearing about the cookie baking contest— and I’m especially looking forward to seeing Mrs. Claus’s cookie recipes here! It’s so nice of her to share her expertise with others at the North Pole and online. Christmas Eve is wonderful but can have some added stress if things are left until last minute, so the workshops are a great idea to help with that!
