16 Weeks Until Christmas

16 Weeks Until Christmas

Hello, friends! There are just 16 weeks until Christmas and things just could not be busier at the North Pole.

Countdown to Christmas

As I told you yesterday, Mrs. Claus has her cookie workshops starting this week, on Saturday, September 6th.

I cannot emphasize enough how popular these workshops are. Last year they were packed. We’ve moved them to the biggest room we have at the North Pole Events Center and we’ve got the guys from North Pole TV there to video tape them.

They are incredibly popular events and Mrs. Claus always puts everyone in the mood for Christmas.

The Spirit of Christmas is very strong right now at the North Pole and everyone seems to be caught up in it all. Every department is just buzzing with activity.

The Reindeer Department is beyond excited. They are having a contest to see who can guess when the reindeer will be back. There is a huge calendar and each elf working there marks a date on the calendar of when they will return.

The news of Prancer earlier this week got a lot of them excited but a situation like that does not count. It’s a special deal, even though some took it to mean ALL the reindeer would be back soon.

And before you ask, no, I’ve not gone over there to see Prancer yet. She’s such a sweet, quiet girl. I’ve met her several times. But I plan to go see her soon. I’m hearing because she is one of the only reindeer here right now that she’s getting lots of visits. I don’t want to wear her out.

I’m also hearing lots of rumors about the reindeer situation, the biggest being is that we expect a HUGE class of baby reindeer this year. When Santa’s reindeer return they bring their families with them, including the babies. Santa will spend a lot of time once they return inspecting the baby reindeer and giving them names.

I think I will need to write a post about the baby reindeer. We get a lot of questions, the most frequent being the one about when a reindeer learns to fly. The quick answer to that is no, the baby reindeer do not fly. That kind of makes the Mommy reindeer go a little crazy, so they are not allowed to even try to fly until they are grown up a little bit. I promise, we’ll do a post about that soon.

In any event, we hope you come back to Santa Update often – the news is getting busier!

Toodles.

Thank you, Elf Trixie! Wow, there are a lot of wonderful news that make us feel Christmas around us! I wish I could help Mrs. Claus someday. I guess Dancer will return to the North Pole earlier. Please tell Prancer that we pray for her to get well soon and have relaxing. Baby reindeer sound exciting! Will they return to the North Pole by flying? I wish I could name one of the reindeer. I look forward to hearing the next news. Have a wonderful day and Merry Christmas! 🤶🍪🦌❤️‍🩹🫶
