15 Weeks Until Christmas

Hello, friends! There are only 15 weeks left until Christmas! Isn’t it exciting?

Well, listen. I need to let you in a few things because the email and the messages and the letters and the cards coming in to the North Pole Post Office and my friend, Elf Hugo, who runs the Post Office, is absolutely going out of his mind.

So if I spill the tea here about stuff do you PROMISE to stop calling and writing in all worried about things?

First of all, Santa’s Workshop: just relax. We got this. You are already well accustomed to the workshop working even after Santa launches his sleigh. This isn’t abnormal.

Yes, it IS abnormal to be a couple of months behind at the time of the year but this is just a temporary setback. Santa himself has been working on this problem and I’m sure that once we’re past Halloween the reports will be a lot better. So gives us some time, okay?

Second of all, this tent thing that was on Kringle Radio yesterday. I have a good idea about what it’s for and it’s a good thing. They are calling it the Mother’s Tent, and it’s a temporary shelter made for reindeer mothers and their babies.

We have received word that there are a LOT more reindeer babies this year than in past years and the big tent is to get ready for them to arrive. They are concerned there will not be enough room in the Reindeer Barn for all the reindeer babies and grown up reindeer. So they are putting up this big tent.

Why couldn’t anybody just say that yesterday?

Well, the News Department was told that the Reindeer Department, who were the ones in charge of this big white tent, didn’t want to announce it. They didn’t want anyone to think the reindeer were coming back this week or any time soon.

The fact of the matter they don’t know when the reindeer are coming back to the North Pole.

All the Reindeer Department can do is get ready for them. They may not be back until November, for all we know, but they have to be ready, right?

See? All this big scary news can really get people worked up.

So relax, we’ve got 15 more weeks to go. You gotta believe something new is going to come up at any time and we just need to stop getting our knickers in a twist every time something unusual happens.

After all, Santa has been coming every Christmas without fail for centuries. Do you really think he’s not going to be able to come this year? Don’t be silly.
