12 Weeks Until Christmas

12 Weeks Until Christmas

Hi ho! Just 12 more weeks to go until Christmas.

Countdown to Christmas

I know you’re anxious about the news coming out about Santa’s workshop but can I get it a rest just for today? There are other things going on at the North Pole to tell you about.

First of all, the North Pole Halloween party is still going to happen. We know, based on yesterday’s news, that some elves aren’t coming. But Mrs. Claus is concerned about the children at the North Pole. Just because working elves in some cases won’t be there doesn’t mean the kids won’t be there and Mrs. Claus wants to make sure they are not without their Halloween fun.

We don’t talk near enough about elf families. We get questions, but honestly we can do a better job explaining things.

Elves have families just like everyone else in the world. They get married, lived in houses, have children and pets – all the normal stuff of life.

What’s it like to be a child of an elf working for Santa at the North Pole?

Well, it’s like everywhere else. Except that elf children want to be elves that work for Santa when they grow up.

Well, now that I think about that, that is what every child who believes in Santa wants to become.

But what I mean by all this is that elves are just regular people. Their kids are just regular kids. They go to school, they play outside, they get in trouble and eat junk – just like everyone else.

Living near Santa is different for North Pole children. They see Santa during the months when it’s not Christmas at community events and even just in various places at various times at the North Pole.

Santa, of course, loves children everywhere. He will talk to them whenever they want to talk. So it’s not unusual to see Santa with a line of kids at Christmas in July or other events at the North Pole.

And, of course, like other children everywhere, North Pole kids hang their stockings and wait for Santa to come on Christmas Eve.

And, like other children around the world, elf families celebrate Halloween by attending the North Pole Halloween party, dressing up in costumes and trick-or-treating. Pretty normal stuff.

For Mrs. Claus, the party must go on for those children. So it will.

Till next week, friends.
