Santa Chats Ahead of Halloween
Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus visited North Pole Chat ahead of Halloween to discuss the news of the North Pole and the concerns of Believers everywhere. Topics include places Santa might visit this Christmas as well as the crisis in Santa’s workshop and what Santa thinks about it.

| Santa Claus | Of course, I’m concerned. But I’m not too worried if that makes sense. We knew we were going to have a problem and we’re working through it. |

| Christmas Every Day | What’s the crisis? |
| Santa Claus | I think it is darn close. |
| Santa Claus | The crisis is this: we’ve had some issues getting supplies to the North Pole this year. As a result, the workshop has been behind since Christmas in July. |
| Santa Claus | Elf Frank and his friends in the News Department have done a great job keeping everyone updated on the situation |

| Santa Claus | We are in a little pickle for sure. But we’re figuring it out. |
| Elf Frank Myrrh | Santa you usually leaving right after the Halloween party to go visit children in the world. Will the workshop situation keep you at the North Pole? |

| Santa Claus | No. Elf Bernard and his team will be on top of it and sending me updates. It is more important to leave the North Pole to visit with as many believers as I can before Christmas Eve. |
| Elf Shooting Star | Why have you had trouble getting supplies? |
| Santa Claus | I’ll have to check my calendar but I think I’ll be in Wadley around Thanksgiving there. The day after the day after….I think |
| Santa Claus | The supply problem is a complex issues. Basically things like metal, wood and plastic have gone up a lot in price and many countries have not been able to fulfill orders. |
| Santa Claus | These things come and go. |

| Santa Claus | The plan that North Pole Flight Command made last month to send out teams to retreive what we need has worked. They have done great work. Now we just need to make toys! |

| Santa Claus | Elf Ulan, I think we have a good handle on supplies, yes. So much improved. There are a few more things yet to come in but right now we have more than enough to do what we need to do. |

| Santa Claus | I don’t know yet, Frank. It’s too early to even think about that. Right now we are trying to meet goals for this week. And on that regard I can say we are on track. It’s not unusual to be behind in the workshop at this time of the year. |

| Santa Claus | It not unusual because every year believers put in their wish lists starting in November. I don’t know what to make for sure until they do their wish lists. |
| Elf Shooting Star | Is it okay if I ask how much mail is flowing into the North Pole? |
| Santa Claus | We work on toys all year long but the actual number of each kind of toy isn’t known until close to Christmas. So we are always behind in a way. |

| Santa Claus | The mail is extremely heavy this year. |
