What Mrs. Claus Said in North Pole Chat
Mrs. Claus was in North Pole Chat this week and discussed life at the North Pole when Santa is gone (Santa is visiting with children all over the world right now). When Santa is gone Mrs. Claus is in charge. She hold meetings, visits Santa’s workshop and helps to keep things organized and on track.
Mrs. Claus took questions from our site visitors in this chat as well. This is a transcript of that conversation:

| Mrs. Claus | I’m doing just fine. He’s very busy there and I’m very busy here. It’s Christmas. This is what we do! |
| Elf Ernest | Is it a lot of pressure for you with Santa being away every November and December? |
| Mrs. Claus | Not a lot of pressure, no. But this is a crazy year! |
| Elf Ernest | It is. When we have things like the workshop crisis happen do you talk to Santa a lot more? |
| Mrs. Claus | I do. Right now, we talk several times a day. Every time he gets a chance. Santa is working very hard right now, trying to see as many children as he can. |
| Elf Ernest | Is it hard for Santa to do that when there are so many problems here at the North Pole? |
| Mrs. Claus | No, if Santa had his way he’d visit children every day of the year! |
| Elf Ernest | What does that make life like for you during November and December? |
| Mrs. Claus | I get along pretty good with a little help from my elves |
| Mrs. Claus | I don’t have a complaint. I love what we do. |

| Elf Ulan | With the workshop running behind schedule, what message of encouragement would you give to elves working so hard right now? |
| Mrs. Claus | Thank you for that question, Elf Ulan. |

| Dillearl | And did Santa Claus get those cookies from me? |
| Mrs. Claus | Elves everywhere are being so NICE. Everyone is working so hard and trying their best to help move things along |
| Mrs. Claus | I am trying to help them by being available to them and by giving them what they need to do their jobs |
| Mrs. Claus | I’m concerned that many of them are working too hard |
| Mrs. Claus | I want them to eat well, get rest and not overdo it. |
| Mrs. Claus | But all are aware of what a pickle we’re in right now. |
| Mrs. Claus | I’m not aware of any cookies for Santa right now, Dillon. Santa is not with me. |

| Mrs. Claus | It’s always Christmas time at the North Pole. But if you look at a globe you’ll see we are the only ones on earth without a time zone |
| Mrs. Claus | For me, it is Sunday evening…getting late. |
| Mrs. Claus | I’m expecting Santa’s call later though |

| Elf Ernest | Do you have instant access to Santa? Or do you have to wait for him to call you? |
| Mrs. Claus | On these days of November and December I have to wait for him to call me. My cell phone is always on. |

| Mrs. Claus | I don’t like that. But that’s the way it is. |

| Elf Ernest | Do you use your cell phone a lot? |

| Mrs. Claus | I only have the cell phone for Santa. Elf Trixie takes care of everything else for me. |
| ImnotJack | What if he calls you at 3:00 AM because it’s 10:00 AM where he is? Or something like that. |
| Mrs. Claus | I do not know any scout elves, ElliottACDC. |
| Mrs. Claus | Santa will call me around the clock. He works like crazy and keeps pretty crazy hours. |

| Mrs. Claus | Oh yes, Elf Shine. I have helped Santa deliver many times. |
| Mrs. Claus | I have gone down a chimney before! |
| Mrs. Claus | Not my favorite thing. |
| Mrs. Claus | But I love to fill stockings |

| Mrs. Claus | I can’t do it like he does but he lets me help now and again. |

| Mrs. Claus | I don’t think the City of Wadley has told Santa yet the time. They are working on it. I’ll try to find out. |

| Elf Ernest | Are you of the opinion tracking Santa will be different this year too? |

| Elf Ernest | What do you mean by intense? |
| Mrs. Claus | I think Santa is going to want to keep to schedule. And I’m not too sure the schedule is going to cooperate. |
| ElliottACDC | What would Santa like me to leave him on Christmas Eve? |
| Elf Ernest | Ok, I understand that. But how does that make it intense for tracker elves? |
| ImnotJack | Do you have any suggestions on how we should prepare for this new intensity? |
| Mrs. Claus | It means they may be called to do different things this year. MAYBE. |
| Mrs. Claus | Suggestions? Wow, I’mnotJack- hard for me to answer that when we don’t know what’s going to happen. |
| ImnotJack | So then be ready for anything? |
| Mrs. Claus | I would advise trackers in the days ahead of Christmas Eve to get lots of sleep because Santa may be coming a lot later this year, especially in Sectors 4 and 5 |
| Mrs. Claus | I would eat well, take vitamins, and be stocked up on all your goodies. |
| Mrs. Claus | I am talking to North Pole Flight Command about maybe setting up a text chain in case the websites go down again. |
| Mrs. Claus | Emergency communications, if you will, for trackers |
| ImnotJack | Yes Please!!! |
| Elf Ernest | Oh my goodness. |

| Elf Ernest | Different than the existing texting stuff? |
| Mrs. Claus | Yes, it would have to be different. |
| Dillearl | When is Santa Claus coming to my house? |
| Mrs. Claus | We will know more as we get closer to Santa’s launch time. |
