40 Weeks Until Christmas
Greetings and I’m sorry! There are just 40 weeks now until Christmas and I’ve been AWOL for more than a month in supplying updates.
It’s been very busy for me. But that’s no excuse.
Just to quickly catch you up: After the Valentine’s Day Ball I went home to Colorado very quickly because my Mom got really sick. She’s okay now but for a while she was not doing well. I was gone more than two weeks.
Then, when I returned to the North Pole, I was enlisted once again to go on Santa’s Retreat. Santa had us camping in South America this year – and it was HOT HOT HOT there. Oh my gosh. And they had bugs the size of apples. It was crazy insane.
We did a lot of fishing. A lot of campfires. A lot of smores. All the stuff of summer in March and it messed me up. I came home with a sunburn and looking really out of place at the snowy North Pole.
Anyway, we’re all back we’re staring at the calendar wondering where the year is going.
It’s going fast.
Over at Santa’s workshop – where you know they had a lot of problems last year – it’s super busy. Elf Bernard is so focused. There’s no way Santa’s workshop is going to have the problems they did last year.
The place right now is like a machine and I can see the progress they are making. There’s a big warehouse where they store stuff that is ready for the Wrapping Department. It’s stuffed.
That doesn’t mean the Wrapping Department is behind. It means Santa’s workshop is way ahead.
The news at North Pole Flight Command is all about Santa’s sleigh. Elf Megg posted about that yesterday. Some people are starting to complain about the sleigh project.
Elf Crash told me not to worry about that. I don’t know what he knows but Crash said Santa could change the course of that whole thing with the snap of his fingers. Listening to Crash you almost have to believe that Santa’s going to snap his fingers pretty soon.
Right now, I’m pretty busy trying to catch up with Mrs. Claus and planning a wedding for two reindeer in love. More on that later.
