37 Weeks Until Christmas
Hi Friends! There are now 37 weeks remaining until Christmas.
Easter came and went so fast here at the North Pole. It’s still winter here and we had a lot of bad weather for Easter. So we did most of our traditional events inside.
The Annual Easter Egg Roll was a big event, as it always is. I don’t know why elves think that is a competitive thing. The idea of the egg roll is to just get it down the hill where you want it to go. It does not have to get there first. The winner is the one who actually rolls their egg into the Easter basket.
Not many can do it.
The line everyone up at the top of the hill, randomly. From wherever you are placed you have to roll your egg towards the basket at the bottom. They might have 50 people up at the top of the hill at a time and it is very rare for anyone in a group to actual have their egg land in the basket.
Some people try again and again and they can never do it.
It’s a fun event but honestly the uneven nature of the shape of an egg really controls the outcome. It’s not based on how you decorate an egg or what part of the hill it rolls down or how long the grass is or any of that other nonsense some elves talk about.
I tried twice before I got frustrated and smashed my egg. Dog gone it. I’ll stick to Christmas.
Speaking of Christmas, big things are happening.
First of all and maybe most concerning is the saga of Santa’s sleigh this year. By this point in the year they are at least supposed to have a model built.
They don’t.
Test flights are supposed to begin in June but from what I hear there’s a big to-do at flight command about the design. They just cannot agree. I hear Santa might have to step in and straighten some elves out.
Second of all, Santa has been taking a very close look at the Santa Tracking program. Elf Crash tells me it is going to be bigger than ever this year. But if it is going to get bigger there will need to be some changes made. I’m not sure what those things are but I hear many concerned elves out there around the world are starting to send in questions of concern.
Elf Crash says he and Elf Frank will do a podcast soon to help elves understand what is happening and why. But Crash says it is all about doing the best job possible in tracking Santa for Santa.
Anyways. There’s a big workshop coming this month about tree decorating. I’m thinking it’ll be just a North Pole thing but Elf Ernest says Santa is so big on Christmas trees it might turn into something for people everywhere. We’ll see.
