200 Days to Santa’s Launch
It’s a milestone day at the North Pole as all North Pole departments mark 200 days until Santa’s launch.
The countdown clocks you see on every North Pole website is a countdown to Santa’s launch – not Christmas.
That is because Santa’s launch is the biggest target on every North Pole calendar. All of our work as elves must be done before Santa is scheduled to take off.
It is a very big deal.
In talking with Elf Ernest, Santa’s Senior Vice President of Public Relations, who has the responsibility of keeping track of and reporting on the status of Operation Merry Christmas, we have learned that with just 200 days remaining the status of the Santa effort is very good.
“Santa is meeting with every department,” Elf Ernest said. “In fact, he was at North Pole Flight Command today meeting with Logistics, Flight Planning, Sleigh Development, Reindeer Operations as well as with the executive teams at Santa’s Workshop, the Wrapping Department and other vital parts of Operation Merry Christmas.”
