A Close Encounter with Santa

Santa Claus was seen, and talked to, by a genuine North Pole Elf away on business in the country of South Africa.

Elf Petey LaCroix, a well-known professional tracker elf who is sometimes heard on Christmas Eve on the Tracking Santa Around the World Radio show, saw Santa in a store in Seafield, South Africa just a day ago. Petey reports that Santa appears healthy.

Unfortunately for Petey he did NOT know there was a worldwide search under way for Santa.

“How in blazes was I supposed to know that?” Elf Petey asked. “Nobody calls or texts nothing around here. I’m out here trying to find the perfect location for this year’s regional tracking center for Sector 3 and does anyone think to call me to say Santa was missing?”

Santa’s not actually missing. And he is not exactly hiding. In the North Pole Radio News report above you can hear all about Petey’s encounter with Santa and what they talked about.

Elf Petey just casually mentioned to his contact in North Pole Flight Command that he “bumped into Santa” and the next thing he knew he was on the phone with the Search Committee and was drilled for hours by Elf Agent X about Santa’s possible location.

Elf Agent X says that the search for Santa continues and that “teams of investigators” are already in South Africa to see if they can pick up on Santa’s trail.

We will keep you posted.

Thank you, Elf Harold! Wow, Elf Petey was so lucky to encounter Santa!! I couldn’t hear what he said in the interview, but did Santa look for a hat there? Lol. I’m happy to hear that he is healthy and so gentle with people even though he moves to places so fast. I’m surprised the team has arrived in South Africa! I wonder if Santa has his private transportation teams around the world, and he’s already moved to another country or sector, lol! I’m looking forward to hearing your post. ^^

Bet he’s down there checking on the penguins. I’ll have to mention that to the African Penguins I work with at the Zoo.
