Donner Dominates at the Reindeer Games
The first day in the medal rounds at the Reindeer Games was all about Donner. He dominated the running and jumping events, even getting the best of Blitzen who traditionally does well in this category.
Blitzen was gracious in defeat, bowing low to the ground after the final race of the day. This is a signal of great respect in the reindeer world.
Donner and Blitzen anchor Santa’s team every Christmas. They are the biggest, strongest and fastest of all of Santa’s reindeer and are the leaders of Santa’s team.
There are many reasons that there are more championships between Donner and Blitzen than any other two reindeer that have ever competed in the games.
While Donner won the day Blitzen is only 2-points behind him overall. The leaderboard is very tight at the top as Donner, Blitzen, Rudolph, Vixen and Prancer are all bunched up near the top within 10-points of each other.
Hercules, Buster, Roscoe and Goldie are not far behind them.
The competition continues tomorrow with flight events. Organizers are hoping for a break in the winter weather.
