Time to Put Your Elf On
Next week for Thanksgiving there will be a number of events at the North Pole to celebrate both Thanksgiving and Christmas. We want to invite you to participate no matter where you are.
The Thanksgiving Day Elf Parade is an annual tradition that doesn’t have to be celebrate alone at the North Pole. You can dress up as an elf, decorate your bike, trike, scooter or other transport and share pictures of that with us here at SantaUpdate.com.
Thanksgiving is a family day, one of great fun. It is Santa’s favorite holiday, after all. What better way to celebrate it than dressing up as an elf?
We also have the annual Turkey Bowl on Thanksgiving Day, a football game played by hearty sorts who enjoy football-in-the-snow. And many will gather at the North Pole Events Center for a community turkey dinner.
In the evening, after the turkey is eaten and the dishes are done, Santa leads the community in a walkabout to look at the Christmas lights.
There is the annual Christmas decorating contest of area homes and many elves take the event seriously. It is considered quite an honor to win the contest.
