The Thanksgiving Day Elf Parade
The Thanksgiving Day Elf Parade was held at the North Pole early today. The event, reported on for several weeks, was a challenge for organizers and participants alike. But it happened, it was broadcast on live TV and radio, and despite the weather hearts are merry at this time.
Santa, operating on just a few hours of sleep, was in the reviewing stand with Mrs. Claus. They moved the stand right down to street level to improve their chances of seeing the parade.
The weather did not cooperate. The blowing wind lowered visibility to just a few feet and it was difficult to see much of the parade at all. North Pole Events Staff placed cameras up and down Main Street to capture as much of the parade as they could.
There were a few hardy North Pole citizens who lined the parade route outside but most moved to indoor locations to watch from the street cameras on big screens. Of all the details that could be seen the parade floats, bicycles, trikes and costumes that had lights were the easiest to see.
Despite the weather and the challenges it brought many were heard to say it was the best Elf Parade ever. Many were also saying they were looking forward to seeing pictures online of other elves from around the world who dressed up or decorated their cars, scoots, bikes and trikes and send in pictures.

Thank you, Elf Harold! I’m so glad Santa was there, and the elves could make the parade! Thank you, Elf Crash. Your report is excellent! Incredibly, the marching bands are playing the music so great! I hope everyone takes a bath to make the body warm! Wow, Elf Crash’s trike is awesome! I wish we could see pictures of his trike and other vehicles! Elf Frank, did you see the parade from the Radio studio? Happy Thanksgiving! And Merry Christmas! XD
