Santa’s Workshop is 79 Days Behind
The Workshop Crisis Management Task Force reports today that Santa’s workshop is 79 days behind with 47 days remaining until Santa’s launch.
Elf Bernard, head elf in Santa’s Workshop, says that the 10 days picked up in the past week is good progress but that they have to do even better.
Elf Bernard, who is coming to North Pole Chat this Sunday to discuss the Workshop Crisis, said that the workshop has an uphill battle every December.
The toys that are most popular and thus more numerous to make are usually produced earlier in the year. The work always gets more difficult in December because they are making special order items that take time to make. Smaller quantities of these toys makes it seem like the workshop isn’t doing as much and that progress is slow.
This year, because of the late arriving materials, the “crush” to make both large volumes of popular toys and special order items is happening at the same time. It is a very challenging situation.
