Reindeer Games Opening Ceremonies Held
Opening ceremonies for the Annual Reindeer Games were held today. The games begin tomorrow with elimination rounds in the speed trials.

The games were heralded by a parade of champions, showcasing the last 25 winners. Blizten led the parade because he has more championships than any of the other reindeer, although Donner is not far behind him.
Donner is heavily favored in this year’s games. He showed up at the North Pole in fantastic shape and according to reindeer trainers he has only become stronger working the past two months shuttling needed supplies to the North Pole.
Organizers say this could be the largest Reindeer Games ever. Tens of thousands of reindeer responded to Santa’s request for added help at the North Pole this year and a great many of them will be competing in the games.
The Annual Reindeer Games are not just a competition. They use the games to evaluate the talent of the participants so that Santa knows where to assign them on Christmas Eve.
Santa considers reindeer some of his most important elves. He loves them and they love Santa.
