Rudolph Off to a Fast Start at the Reindeer Games
The Reindeer Games kicked off today with qualifying rounds. That means they ran heats to qualify reindeer for the medal rounds, because there are so many reindeer competing this year.
The qualifying rounds take most of the day and they have a way of thinning out “the herd”. All of Santa’s A-Team of reindeer easily qualified and there are many other reindeer you have heard about before that have qualified again as well, such as Pokey, Thor and The Mighty Mick.
Of all of Santa’s reindeer it was Rudolph, last year’s champion, who clocked the best time.
Some are interested in knowing the names of young reindeer who are entirely new to the competition.
Here are the top ten qualifiers among the two-year-olds competing in the games for the first time:
1. Buster
2. Penelope
3. Hercules
4. Hammer
5. Meat
6. Roscoe
7. Goldie
8. Star
9. Jangle
10. Wobbles
Experts are saying the competition was pretty intense with the young reindeer.
