Elves Given a Vacation Deadline
The Department of Elf Resources at the North Pole has extended a deadline to all North Pole elves to complete their vacations before Leon Day, which is June 25th.

Leon Day marks the halfway point to Christmas and it is the unofficial start of Christmas in July.
It is also a customary marker for elf vacations.
It should be noted that many departments are excluded from this traditional deadline because their jobs require them to be on duty long before Leon Day – most notably, elves who work in the Sleigh Department, at North Pole Flight Command in support of test flights of Santa’s sleigh, and all test pilots and reindeer on dedicated test flight teams.
Test flight reindeer have already returned to the North Pole for training in advance of test flights which are scheduled to launch the first week of June.
We are expecting news at any time about test flight pilots who will undergo flight training in advance of that same launch date for the test flights.
Santa’s sleigh this year is adopting a radical new design that will require rushed testing. Santa wants to use the new sleigh design this Christmas. Normally a sleigh design of this type would follow a 3-year development cycle, so massive numbers of elves, reindeer and sleighs are expected to be pressed into duty in the weeks ahead.
But other elves such as those in Santa’s Workshop, in Reindeer Operations, in the Wrapping Department and the North Pole Post Office are expected to be on vacation between now and Leon Day in big numbers.
The North Pole News Department will remain staffed during the coming weeks to keep you up-to-date on North Pole News. Most of their elves have already used their vacation time.
We will keep you posted.

Thank you, Elf Harold! I hope you’re doing well and healthy. Last year was so hard at all the Departments, so I’m glad to hear that they can rest and refresh a lot now. I hope Amelia; Santa’s new sleigh will get great test results that Santa and the test flight Teams hope. I pray that all the pilots and reindeer will go smoothly and safely.
I look forward to hearing about the update, Leon Day, and Christmas in July soon. Have a wonderful day and Merry Christmas! 🎅🦌🛷🎄🫶🧑🎄
