30 Weeks Until Christmas
Just 30 weeks remain until Christmas. And just 28 days until Leon Day, which marks the halfway point to Christmas.

There are lots of debates this week in North Pole media about Leon Day. Some argue that Christmas is really two days – December 24th and December 25th.
Some say it is one day but that the real Christmas is December 24th, not the 25th.
They make a point, doncha think?
After all, our countdown clocks are all set to when Santa launches – and that’s clearly Christmas Eve, December 24th.
So if we are using that as “Christmas” then Leon Day, meaning just “a day”, should be June 24th, right?
Well, no. Christmas is December 25th. It always has been. They whole world wakes up on the morning of December 25th and that’s Christmas. No debate about that, right?
So Leon Day would be June 25th, correct?
Others say no – it’s June 24th AND June 25th because in reality, here at the North Pole, we get up on the morning of December 24th and never go to bed until after Christmas morning is celebrated on December 25th. It’s one big long old day, right?
So Leon Day should be the 24th and 25th of June together, wouldn’t it?
I can’t keep it straight.
Mrs. Claus says it doesn’t matter. Santa says it doesn’t matter either.
But our letters coming to the North Pole Post Office from our readers tell us that it DOES matter.
What do you think?
I think I need some help on this one. I’m going to ask Elf Ed Zachary to chime in on this.
It’s a fair question.

Thank you, Elf Trixie! I’m excited to celebrate Leon Day again this year. I didn’t realize it was in June until I became an elf here. My friends from different countries say that Christmas is on December 25th and Christmas Eve is on December 24th. So, I think of “Christmas” as both days because they both include the word “Christmas,” lol. The elves at the North Pole, along with Santa, can choose which day to celebrate Leon Day. What matters is that we are celebrating half of Christmas. I’m curious about which day, or if both days, Santa will choose… Read more »
