North Pole Celebrates Halloween
It is a different kind of Halloween at the North Pole this year.
Usually this is just a partial work day, with many elves requesting the day off of work to be home with the families to work on costume and Halloween party plans.
There is a Halloween party at the North Pole but some elves will not be attending. They have chosen instead to keep working so that Santa’s workshop can get back on track.
To help those working elves feel the spirit of the day many are going out of their way to recognize them, take them food and goodies and do all they can to keep spirits up.
A parade of school children in festive costumes were led through Santa’s workshop to the delight of elves who were working.
A choir from a local North Pole Village school also came to sing Halloween songs and to pass out cookies.
In fact, it appears an unending stream of costumed visitors have been dropping off food, fruit, cakes, and candies to workshop elves all day long.
There is a costume contest this Halloween but due to the nature of so many elves working we have opened the costume contest to visitors of Santa Update. Just send in your photo of yourself in costume and YOU could win a prize from the North Pole.
The annual North Pole Halloween Party begins in just a little while and there will be full report of what happens there published tomorrow. Until then, please have a merry Halloween where you are.
