4 Weeks Until Christmas

Hi everyone! Just 4 weeks now until Christmas and there’s so much happening today I cannot even tell you.

Countdown to Christmas

Thanksgiving, of course, is tomorrow. The Sleigh Port has been pretty busy the last two days as elves working remotely return home here to the North Pole. There are many happy families here right now.

The weather, as we have been hearing this past week, is pretty frightful. That has some concerned and many excited for the Thanksgiving Day Elf Parade tomorrow.

What’s a parade without a marching band? The Thanksgiving Day Elf Parade is the biggest parade of the year for the North Pole High School Marching Band. They train for this all year.

Part of their training is how to march in the snow while playing their instruments. That takes a lot of dedication.

We have a forecast that is made for that training to pay off. The band is actually excited to perform in the parade. They know it will be snowing. They know they will be on North Pole TV. And they know everyone will be watching how well they will do.

As for the parade itself, well, the floats are all ready. I was over at the North Pole Events Center to check them out. There’s the North Pole Royalty Float, which features the King and Queen of homecoming for North Pole High.

Then there’s the float from the Sleigh Department, which this year promised to march an exact replica of Santa’s actual sleigh and it will be pulled by real reindeer. They are going to show the sleigh in an exhibit after the parade so that people can sit in it and see what the view is like from Santa’s seat.

All the bikes, trikes, skateboards and scooter that will be in the parade are at the events center too. They have to be inspected before they are allowed to be in the parade.

We hope you considering being a part of the parade.
