2 Weeks Until Christmas

Just two weeks now until Christmas. Whoooo!

While things continue kind of crazy in Santa’s workshop Mrs. Claus is thinking about Christmas Eve.

She knows this Christmas Eve is likely to be very different. Like everyone else, she doesn’t know HOW different it is going to be but she is certain of one thing: everyone is going to need cookies.

That’s why she has her kitchen elves already working on cookies. They are making fresh dough and freezing it.

You have to understand what a big deal that is. Mrs. Claus is FAMOUS for her cookies and for her to admit to using frozen dough is a big thing.

I had a private moment with her and asked her about it and whether she would fear people might think her cookies this year would not be as good.

“It’s not ideal, dear,” she said to me. “But not everything has to be perfect at Christmas. Cookies are a small thing and I think given how crazy this season has been even my cookies made with frozen dough will be Christmas enough for those who enjoy them.”

And she’s right.

I remember having a conversation once with Santa about all the cookies he eats on Christmas as he travels around the world. I asked him if he really ate cookies in every home he visits.

He says he does eat those cookies in every home where they are offered. I will never forget what he told me. He said, “Trixie, now I’ll tell you this, those cookies on Christmas anywhere are just as good as Mrs. Claus’ cookies because the key ingredient in cookies for Santa is love. And I love them, so I eat them.”

Mrs. Claus told me she wants to offer something different to believers who visit here on Santa Update. She’s working on a little surprise for YOU right here on our pages. She told me about it but I won’t spill the beans. Let’s just say we’re working on it and it will be here soon.

I hope you have a most excellent week, that you’re celebrating Christmas with lights and cookies and concerts and school programs and warm cocoa by the fire. I love Christmas but I especially love these special days before Christmas.
