31 Weeks Until Christmas
Hi everyone! There are just 31 weeks left until Christmas. That’s like…barely more than half way.
Seriously. Where does the time go?
I have been working a lot this week. Mrs. Claus has been part of a lot of meetings, you see. When she has meetings, I gotta go. Because I’m basically Mrs. Claus’ notebook. She holds the meetings, I take the notes.
Anyways, Mrs. Claus has a plan this year to be home for Christmas. No emergencies. No flying sleighs or doing rescue stuff for Santa. She just wants a normal, stay-at-home-and-wait-for-Santa Christmas that sees her handing out cookies at the North Pole Christmas party.
That’s really what Santa wants for her, too.
And so far, Operation Merry Christmas seems to be running pretty smooth.
Santa’s workshop is a machine this year compared to last year. Elf Bernard really is running a tight ship this year.
He was pretty embarrassed by how late the Workshop was last year even though none of that was his fault or under his control. He’s working super hard this year to see that what happened last year does not happen again.
In one meeting I was in this week it was reported that Santa’s workshop is about 17 weeks ahead of schedule.
That’s crazy.
I don’t think that will be the same come, oh, let’s say October, but even still that’s very impressive.
Of course, with the Workshop running so far ahead that means other departments, especially the Wrapping Department, is kind of behind. But nobody is worried. We have 31 weeks left for crying out loud.
As I shared with you last week, Trixie’s wedding is changing the schedule for everything this year. It’s not even June and everyone is talking about the reindeer being back early – just for the wedding.
Being back early means an earlier time for the Reindeer Games. It could mean a change in the way the test flights of Santa’s sleigh are handled.
So everything seems kind of up in the air and kind of ahead of schedule, all at the same time.
Why does this make me nervous?
I can’t figure it out.

Thank you, Elf Trixie! Oh, Mrs. Claus stays home and does not fly to Hawaii this year. I think Elf Bernard was not fault. I remember that there were Toyvember in last June, delayed materials, etc., so he had to take care of them. He did his best, and he and all the elves’ efforts made Santa to deliver toys around the world on the last Christmas Eve. Santa made a new record. The Wrapping Department will be okay, too.
