Summer Fair at Christmas in July
Christmas in July has seen some events happen at the North Pole even though most elves and even Santa himself have been engaged in a very busy conference at North Pole Flight Command for some time this month.
Over the weekend, Santa dismissed the Conference and asked the elves to support the North Pole Village Summer Fair, held in part at the North Pole Events Center and Kringle Park.
Mrs. Claus and her team coordinated that great event that featured a sleigh show, carnival rides, plenty of food and displays from the North Pole Toy Museum. Proceeds from the event went to support Santa’s Sleigh.
Part of the festivities was the annual dunking booth where Santa and key elves from many parts of Operation Merry Christmas participated. Santa showed up in his famous “long-john” style striped swimming suit and a part of googles. He “got splashed” 16 times.
On his last time falling into the water Santa dove down deep into the tank and came up sporting two super soaker blasters and began squirting everyone within just a few feet of him.
His target was Mrs. Claus and she was surprised for sure. “Stay away from the hair!” she squealed.
Mrs. Claus may have been tipped off that Santa had a surprise up her sleeve. Despite the fact that the Annual Christmas in July water balloon fight had been cancelled she had prepared and hidden away under a table an entire cooler full of water balloons and even though Santa was already in the water his super soaker blast was answered in short order by Mrs. Claus and the ladies of her staff, who pelted Santa with dozens of water balloons.
It was a great time, as elves everywhere here had a good laugh.
