Vixen Leaves to Train in Norway
In an usual turn of events Vixen has left the North Pole to train for the upcoming Reindeer Games in Norway. She left today in the company of her trainer, Elf Hazel, of the staff at the Reindeer Operations Department.
The Reindeer Games are scheduled for an early run this year, to be held in mid-October.
This change was made at the suggestion of Santa, who felt the reindeer needed a bit more recovery time from the games before their Christmas Eve flight.
If you recall, Vixen had a rough season last year and had to withdraw from the games due to a significant injury that led to surgery. Her status was in question until the very last minute. She did fly on Christmas Eve, but it was only after Santa intervened.
It is believed that Vixen has been restored to full health. Her recent work-outs were very good and some were even predicting that Vixen could challenge again in many events at the games.
But she left very early in the morning and it was noticed by many of the reindeer and elves over at the Reindeer Barn.
Her trainer this year, Elf Hazel, stated quickly that Vixen remains in good health and that nothing is wrong. Where she is training in Norway is not exactly known, although Santa does maintain a high elevation reindeer ranch there that operates year round. Norway is Vixen’s native home.

Thank you, Elf Harold! I’m happy to hear about Vixen’s recent story with Elf Hazel. I think they are a good team. I wonder if many elves and reindeer are too concerned about her, so she was a little stressed. She is very famous as Santa’s reindeer, and everyone knew about her injury last year, and they’re very interested in her. I hope her training is going well in her home ranch.
