Will Santa be coming home for Thanksgiving? That’s the question on everyone’s mind at the North Pole today. The great White Out of Thanksgiving 2024 continues to rage and it has affected a lot of things at the North Pole.

North Pole Thanksgiving

As of right now, the annual Thanksgiving Day Elf Parade will move forward. Most elves and reindeer signed up to participate have indicated they will stay in the parade, although some floats have been withdrawn.

The North Pole High School Marching Band still plans to participate but they have said they will be wearing goggles and snow boots.

The North Pole Elf Barbershop Quartet has said they too will modify their apparel and may use mobile microphones so their music can be heard above the wind.

Parade floats from the Lion’s Club, the North Pole Elf Labor Union #424, and the Wrapping Department Rockettes will all now be pulled by sleighs.

There is a very large contingent of reindeer signed up – and going by the name of the SR Society – and they have ADDED to their numbers for the parade. Nobody really knows what the reindeer are up to but there are some saying this is a “don’t miss” feature of this year’s parade.

While most bikes, trikes and wagons have remained registered in the parade many of the skateboard and roller skate participants have cancelled their plans. Some of those participants will now walk in the parade.

Will Santa be here to see it all? Will he be present to lead elves and their families on walkabout on Thanksgiving evening to see the Christmas lights?

That is unknown at this time. For more information about Santa’s current status, please listen to the North Pole Radio News report in the player above.

Thank you, Elf Harold. I hope the weather will be calm and that snowplows can be used for the parade soon. Thank you, Elves Frank and Crash. I heard that Santa’s A-Team reindeer have been isolated for health, and the Flight Command is closed. Santa wants to return to the North Pole. I hope everything will work smoothly and safely! Happy safe Thanksgiving, and Merry Christmas! XD
