Surprise Return of Santa’s Reindeer

BREAKING NEWS: According to inbound radar data at North Pole Flight Command it appears the return of Santa’s reindeer is happening now.
Weather conditions are making it difficult to determine the number of reindeer, their precise speed and altitude and the expected time of arrival.
All elves in the Reindeer Department have been hailed via a text alert. They are rushing to their stations now. This signal has long been anticipated.
The return of tens of thousands of reindeer to the North Pole is a lot of work for the elf teams at the Reindeer Department. They need to be received, catalogue, assigned a place, fed and, in some cases, bathed.
Doctors are on hand to assess any reindeer with medical needs, but this is rarely needed.
Once the reindeer are all accounted for a schedule is set up for a medical evaluation for each one of them. This process alone can take several days. The medical evaluation includes a physical fitness test to determine the change in a reindeer’s area of service. Most of the reindeer have served Santa before.
