7 Weeks Until Christmas
Merry Christmas, gang – there are just 7 weeks until Christmas now!
This week we’re gearing up for the Reindeer Games. So many reindeer are here now. They are returning from service in bringing supplies to the North Pole to help in Santa’s workshop or they are getting back temporarily from serving on the test flights team for Santa’s sleigh.
My Trixie is not yet back. I have not heard if she is going to participate in the Reindeer Games or if she will stick with the test flights.
I have a feeling she will stay with the test flights. She’s a very loyal girl. There is a job to be done with Santa’s sleigh and she is proud of the work she does there. I would not be surprised if she stays there.
Either way, the Reindeer Games are going to be very crowded. There are a number of the 2-year olds people are watching. A young buck who is known as Barley has caught my eye. He’s a giant and you cannot help but notice him. He is a head above most of the other reindeer. But to watch him run is breath taking. For a big reindeer he’s very athletic and there just something about him I really like.
So we will see. Everyone here at the North Pole has their favorites.
I’ll tell you who is getting a lot of attention is Donner. My goodness, he’s got fans. Donner is in exceptional shape and a lot of people think he will win it all.
I’ve added a North Pole Radio News report from Kringle Radio today at the North Pole because in it Elf Crash explains about WHY the reindeer games are used to help Santa on Christmas Eve.
Santa, of course, is not here to watch the games.
He has already left the North Pole to visit with believers around the world. Maybe you’ll see him this week? If you do, please let me know. Take a picture with Santa and send it in!
We have some big meetings this week. The biggest is about the Thanksgiving Day Elf Parade.
That’s always a popular event. Believers are over the world have come to dress like elves and decorate their bikes, trikes, long boards and scooters in Christmas colors with lights and decorations and everything. Some are asking if we are going to have a photo submission process for that too. It will be talked about in the meetings, so I’m sure we will let you know one way or the other.
