36 Weeks Until Christmas

36 Weeks

Greetings, friends! Just 36 weeks remain until Christmas. Are you getting ready?

Countdown to Christmas

So, I was in North Pole Chat yesterday. It was a good time.

But I’ll be honest. I was pretty nervous.

Looking back now, that was silly of me. Everyone was so nice and nobody asked any questions that put me on the spot.

I think that is really what I was nervous about. I don’t like knowing things that I cannot talk about. And right now, given my present responsibilities, I know some things.

But the chat was a good reminder that I’m just an elf. I’ve been given a little bit tougher of an assignment than my usual job and it is stretching me. But, at the end of the day, I’m just an elf trying to help Santa be Santa.

This chat was a good reminder of that. The people there – other elves, really – were so kind to me. We had some good laughs.

It is important to laugh. I think we need to spend more time laughing. I think we can enjoy each other a lot more and not be so serious all the time.

I mean, yeah, Santa’s job is a serious thing and we all want to do well. But it is fun, too. We need to remember that. I need to remember that.

I’m surprised that nobody asked me about Santa in the chat. I was worried about that question more than any other.

Have we heard from Santa?

No, we haven’t.

But we are not supposed to worry about it. This is what happens when Santa goes on walkabout. He tends to really disappear because that’s what he is trying to do. Santa is out exploring and learning, at least that is how he explained it to me.

But we haven’t heard from him since he left and it’s been nearly…what? Two months!

Is anything going to be done about this?

Well, in a word, yes.

But I can’t tell you about it. This is one of those things I know about that I cannot talk about. It really bums me out, too.

But come back here soon and often. There will be breaking news about Santa soon and what is going to be done to know what’s happening with him.

That’s about all that I can say for now.

Lots of elves are in new jobs at the North Pole. That is not a problem. All is on track for Operation Merry Christmas this year – even though Santa is not here, the reindeer are all gone and elves don’t know what they are doing in their new jobs.

There are no problems.

Trust me.

Toodles.

Thank you for telling the countdown, Elf Trixie! I wish I could join the chat, but it was great to know more about you. I know the elves who were there are awesome and sweet. I agree that laughing is very important, and it makes you go well. Of course, I can wait for Santa, so please let us know anytime when you’re ready, even a little thing. I’m delighted to work with you, elves for Santa! ^^
